RIPOFF prejudiced, racist, snotty, rude to customers, will not deliver to bad neighborhood NEXT TO POLICE STATION, in well-lit area, inhabited by minorities

I called this particular Papa John's to place an order for delivery back in January of '05. The woman told me that they would NOT deliver to my neighborhood, or as she put it, "We DON'T deliver to THAT neighborhood" (a predominantly black area) - I asked her why not, she put me on hold, asked her manager, then he came on the like and told me "for safety reasons", which was a nice way to say "the ghetto". Even though I live in a poorer part of town, the neighborhood I live in is completely safe, near a brand new office park, police station, grocery stores, etc. (I live about five miles from the store. They deliver up to 10 miles away from their store.)

I emailed Papa John's with a complaint that the manager at this location is prejudiced and did not offer a satisfactory reason as to why I was being refused delivery. I did not receive a response from the store manager or from someone in the corporate office.

I called the Papa John's in March of '05 to try the order again, to see if perhaps the issue had been rectified.instead I was laughed at and the man told me "Pssh, you are gonna get your own Papa John's in THAT neighborhood within a month." He made it sound like I live in a war zone.

Papa John's has not done anything to rectify this problem with me. I did not receive a letter or even a phone call to apologize for the way I was treated the first time around. Now I have been hassled twice by the employees at this location based on the neighborhood in which I make my home. Their treatment is completely unneccessary and has prompted me to give nothing but bad press about them to all my friends.

And to think. Back in November, I actually followed one of their delivery drivers for four miles just because he'd left his ATM card at the machine (he was in the drive thru right ahead of me) - - and this is what karma deals me. He wasn't even grateful to me for doing that. These people are completely rude and do *not* deserve your business!
