On Oct 9 I received by mail a notice of collection for 3,541.89. Merchant Credit states that their Client is Ravinia CFB Holdings, LLC who had purchased the defaulted account.
I called the original creditor "Bank One, " and they have no knowledgement of this debt. Bank One recommended that I file a police report (which I am waiting for an officer as we speak).
Three options are offered for payment $1770.95 one time payment, three payments within 90 days for 70% of the balance in the amount of $2,479.32 or monthly payments each month in the full amount.
