I, like many others, was looking for a business loan to acquire a small business. I was not looking for a hand out or "free money". With the economy the way is is and banks loaning less, I searched for another way to obtain these funds. What I came up with was a loan that was secured by CDs. To be paid back in full - a LOAN, not a hand out. I researched the practice and found out it was a legitmate method and subsequently found CFG through a "broker". I researched CFG as much as I could and no red flags appeared, even spoke to one of their "satisfied customers" who stated that he would work with them again. It was required of us to make a deposit of $5k or more (I've found out that some paid as much as $10k.) with the contractual, written agreement that if we hadn't received a loan through CFG in 12 months time, we would get that money back. It's been a year for me, up to 3 years for some others and Mr.
