Auto Insurance rate hike, ripoff rates, extortionate premiums, disloyal DC

I am a 28 y.O. DC driver, licese for 4 years, basic Ford Focus, no speeding tickets, moving violations or comprehensive claims.

Geico Preferred were my auto insurers, charging $2500/year (already high for the area).
During the 2 years I was with them, I had two minor at fault accidents, totaling $1500 of damage. Subsequently, they refused to renew my policy. They offered to switch me to a sister company, demanding $6000/year premiums. I think this is disloyal and extortionate, given the circumstances, and would advise people to avoid Geico if they expect to be treated respectfully.
