Beware of the fine print on your Menards Big Card / Big Penalty promotions!

When i received my bill for my menards card i noticed a promotion expiration alert for the amount of $666.96. I paid the full amount of the promotional payoff of $667.00,2-weeks ahead of the date due. When i got my next bill I noticed not all of the promotional payoff had been paid, so called customer service, They said i had negelected to pay the minumum payment of $25.00 so i would have to pay the deferred interest on promotional charges in the amount of $256.16. Ask if there was anything they could do as they could see i was making the effort to pay the amount i had due, she came back after talking with her supervisor and said if i called them back after i got my next bill they would take 30% off the deferred interest. Oh Boy don't i feel lucky. I guess i figured any amount over $25.00 would be good for paying the minumum due! Guess i was wrong! Beware of the fine print or as i call them wezel words!
