Misrepresentation of loan terms

Business & Finance

I got out a $10,000 mortgage in 2004 to assist my dad with a few of his medical expenses. I had been informed when I permitted them to withhold the funds from my bank account on the bi weekly routine, it'd be reduced in 60 weeks. I got them on that. Well, this continued for really 72 weeks (my dad became sick, died, Mother needed full-time treatment, etc.) and that I forgot to check out on this. I'd paid $17,000, so when I named to ask about why it had been still being taken, I had been informed my stability was over $9,000! On an authentic mortgage of $10,000 over six years back! I wrote words towards the organization, which went unanswered. I submitted a problem with this Condition Consumer Affairs, and that I blocked the reduction from my banking account. Today, I've been approached annually later with a business that purchased your debt (which furthermore turns up on my credit as 'settled satisfactorily, having a 0 stability"). They need me to solve this, so that as I've informed them, easily did not believe I owed HFC anymore money, I'm definitely not spending you any money. I'm prepared to quit a great credit rating on the issue of theory! Did other people possess a comparable encounter?
