James Benn He'll take your money and promise you a mortgage, then six months later he'll tell you "We can't get you done"

Mr. James Benn is a liar and a thief in plain English. He promised to get me financed in September. He asked for up front money and was given $750.00 to procure my loan. I paid him, and filled in the paperwork. We were to close in not more than 60 days. On the 50th day he tells me that the paperwork was not in order so there will be a slight delay in closing. He promises to contact the attorney for the closing and never does. The next delay is because the mortgage company (who is alleged to be United Wholesale Mortgage) needs more paperwork. Again another delay. Next he tells you that the Bank is looking at the file and is ready to send it to the lawyer for his review. The lawyer gets preliminary paperwork and starts a title search. Now you have to pay for a title search and an inspection, and an appraisal. On this particular house I received a very good price on a deck on the back of the house. (Actually replacing and rebuilding) The contractor told me it had to be done within the time frame of two weeks to get the price quoted. At this point we were within three days of closing and I wanted the deck on the house before we moved in. Mr. Benn assured me that we were going to close in three days and to let the guy put the deck on the house. It would also increase the appraisal on the house. I had the guy complete the installation of the deck and paid him in full. Again the closing was postponed due to the numbers not reconcileing properly. Again he promised that we would close in 30 more days. He has stalled and stalled and blamed this person and then that person and the mortgage broker that he allegedly works with (A Mr. Brown at United Wholesale Mortgage) who actually is in question. Now here it is August and the house just went back on the market for a lesser price and the Sales agent just took another offer. I'm out over &7500.00 in repairs and replacements on a house I don't own, and cannot own because someone else is now buying it. As I said James Benn is a liar and a thief. Don't take my word for it look at his track record in the internet. There are also people in Columbia SC that know him as well as Charlotte, NC. Everyone knows James Benn. Some will have nice things to say about him but those that truly know him will tell you the truth. If I had to say anything else it would be this; Mr James Benn should be in jail right along side of the likes of Bernie Madoff. Doing time for embezzlement fraud and even money laundering. His latest antic is to charge $50.00 to take Homeless Veterans to the VA Hospital and get them registered for benefits. Benefits that they are already entitled to anyway but "pay me $50.00 and I'll take you to the VA and show you how to get them." I'll tell you what to say and how to answer the questions that they will ask." All in the name of Grace Veterans Foundation Inc. Perported to be a Non-Profit company that has no money to show from a list of some 200 individuals that have joined his program.
