How can these people scam millions of social security and VA pension recipients and get away with it? They won't let you transfer money out! I tried to transfer money to my bank account because my online rent payment system charges for debit cards no associated with a bank account ($29.95). Direct Express told me after five (5) days of not receiving my money in my bank account "it takes about 2 days, but if you have received it yet, it will be returned to your Direct Express card in about ten days, maybe you did not provide the correct information..."
What! Bank routing and account numbers verified! They won't let you cancel the card ("if you cancel you will not have access to your funds and there is no way we can send you a check..."). I spent over two hours one day trying to cancel the card. They kept giving me toll free numbers which would give me another toll free (after five (5) toll free numbers, I gave up!). The hold your money for the interest and use sophisticated tactics to deny you to cancel or switch your direct deposit elsewhere. Ouch! Obviously the Direct Express bank (ComericA Bank, Dallas, Texas 75201???) is owned by a high-level US Government official, congressman, or senator!
