I am disabled and have problems occasionally meeting my payments on time. But i always manage to get caught up. I made a call to Ocwen tonight to make arrangements to catch up my Dec. Payment and Pay my January payment only to be told that they had tacked on $490 in late fees and legal fees to my account. I had no notice of this action and plan on calling AND RECORDING the director of thier Collections Dept.

I was in Forclosure in August and ended up paying $1800. To get out... That included legal fees. (Or so I was told) I was then RE-CHARGED the $800 in legal fees in September. They finally, after I consulted an attorney, said they had made a mistake and fixed it.

But they still got me, in December of 1999 they never made my property tax payments as contracted. I ended up almost losing my home in a tax sale, and when I called them to find out why the taxes hadn't been paid. They miraculously got paid, but only after I had been assessed legal fees by the county... And Ocwen recharged me for the tax payment. They said it wasn't for that but I have it in writing, from thier computer that they didn't pay it. Then in 2001 they did. Hmmmm...

They have held my mortgage for over 10 years and I have to agree... They have been more hassle than they are worth.
I will never recommend them... Nor will I ever try to get financed through them again.

They have ruined my health from stress, and I will be so glad to be out from under them.in fact, the for sale signs go up tomorrow. I hate to speak bad of the people that are employed by them, but guys... Ya better get a clue... You are being turned into theives.
