FlexPerks card and collections harrassment - Flexperks

I've just had a very upsetting interaction with a collections person over an $80 payment that's two weeks late. Is it normal to send this to a collection agency for legal action, as "Ryan" told me? If I am unwilling to give my debit card info to him because he doesn't seem to have my name right and insists that I have a US Bank checking account when I don't, is he automatically compelled to mark me as "refusing to comply" as he told me?

I've never posted to one of these sites before but I am so angry that this thug berated me that I am dropping my flex card tonight. If this posts publicly, does anyone have recommendations on better credit cards? Chase is offering me a good rate.
