Ripoff Unauthorized credit card charge

I found a strange $9.00 charge on my credit card statement from a company that was unknown to me. (I have no idea where they got my credit card number from.) When I called the company to credit me for the charge, the girl/lady who took my call had a long story about the company and seemed well prepared to issue the credit. I wonder how many people who never check their statement
have been cheated?
