775-55-8149 SC Ripoff Charged to VISA Card Fraudulent

The above fraudulent charge appeared on my VISA Card account. I contacted MBNA to report this and received a verbal dog and pony show... Outrageous - because fraud by wire is a criminal act and I was treated as though I am the wrongdoer... Of course, the fact the account is decades old and has never been delinquent meant nothing to the dim-witted clericals.

Instead of being treated as one who informed the bank of criminal fraud to save them from losses under the Fair Credit Reporting Act [1974, et seq.] and keeping others who do not keep complete records [after 60 days the charge is valid whether it is fraud or real] from having money stolen from them, the clerk at the bank told me to wait until my next billing statement and write to them.

This egregious behavior by a bank is abusive to customers. I advise all MBNA customers to beware of the bank's insensitivity to their customers and act accordingly.
