Consumer Response Group
If you mail your package back for a refund DO IT BY REGISTERED MAIL I Mailed my "Mystery Shopper" info package back to them and they now claim they NEVER received it

Business & Finance

When I called them, I did get my package within a week of ordering it. Then, during that time, I discovered other "Mystery Shopper" companies online, who did not charge anything to sign up with them, so I decided to return the package to Consumer Response Group, and go with one or more of the "free" Mystery Shopper services. I mailed the package back to them within 5 days of receiving it. I did it personally at the post office of the county where I work, so I know it went out okay, and I know it never got returned to me.

Well, 2 months went by, and I never saw a refund appear on my credit card. I called MRG to inquire as to why they have not given my my refund, and at first they claimed they couldn't find my name, and asked me if I possibly used another name! (yeah, right!) Eventually the man who answered the phone found my address, and simply said, "We have no record of ever receiving your materials back from you."

I asked him what am I supposed to do, and he "suggested" that I check with the post office. Well, the "post office" it went out of is in the county building where I work, and the lady who mailed it for me knows me. She said my package went out just fine, and was never returned.

So, Consumer Response Group keeps refusing to issue me a refund, based on the fact (or rather, "the facts as THEY are reporting them) that they never received my returned package.

I am now going to Step 2, disputing the charge with my credit card company. I am going to "dispute" the fact that the merchandise WAS returned, and I am going to print up some of the other "consumer complaintss" cited on this web page to send along with my dispute.

Thank you all for taking time to report this company. I guess I should have checked this site out first, before I ordered from Consumer Response Group! Then I would have "thought twice" and probably not done it.

And my advice to anyone else is: Make sure you send your package back to them via "certified mail, " so that you get PROOF that they signed for your package.
