James B. Liabastre, 28 of Bonneau, South Carolina, is a con artist who preys on successful, independent women, charming them into believing he has feelings for them and wants them in his life. He will gain your trust and security then ask for money which he will promise to repay. You will never see your money again! I loaned him $200 on February 8 to cover some fines for being arrested for disorderly conduct and possession of a controlled substance, which he promised to repay two days later on Friday, February 10. It has been 60 days and he refuses to pay his debt. I am now filing charges in small claims court to retain my money which he scammed me out of. This man is a liar, an alcoholic, and a con artist. Women beware! Stay away from James B. Liabastre at all cost!
