Ripoff

I have two loans with Greentree. Due to circumstances beyond my control I became behind in my payments last year. I was working with two seperate individuals to bring my account up to date. The first account was brought up to date & the second account when I mailed in my check for $1000.00 left me with $1900.00 owed.

I was speaking with Jo-Anne who assured me my terms of sending another $1000.00 & then $900.00 over the next few weeks was fine.

My first check was cashed however it was never posted to my account. I received a call from another rep who said they hadn't received any money. I faxed a copy of the cancelled check & phoned Jo-Ann who said it wasn't applied to my account but it would be and my account was fine.

Shortly after this conversation my house was listed in the paper under Auctions. I phoned Jo-Ann who said she didn't initiate this & it wasn't Greentree.

Well it was Greentree & when I phoned her back she said she didn't note my account & now it was in the attorneys hands & she couldn't do anything. I asked how it was possible to be working with a rep, send money I said I would send, be told everything was ok & then have my house listed for foreclosure when I didn't even receive any type of notice. She said the notice was sent in the same envelope with my ammoritization which it wasnt'. I've requested several times for a copy of this letter of intent and haven't ever received one.

A few weeks after this I received a statement on my first loan stating I owed over 900.00. I also received a call stating I had to pay this over the phone or I would be in default. Unfortunately they called me the day after my father in law died & I wasn't thinking clearly. I did a check over the phone for the amount requested. A few weeks later when I went back to my bills I realized I couldn't possibly owe that much money as my payments were only $205.00 per month.

I called Greentree & was told I still owed over $30.00. They took my money, misapplied the payment & I had to spend hours over several days on the phone to straighten this out. I was asked by a rep why did I pay that amount when my payment was 205.00. I asked who was I to listen to, & when I'm threatened by losing my home (which I was still trying to straighten out the second loan)& I had a death in the family I did what I felt I was supposed to.

I'm now refinancing, I've been approved, my loan officer got the payoff figures and low & behold my house is once again listed for foreclosure. They still haven't posted my cleared check to my account.

These people also harrass me at work, call all my relatives, even my mother-in-law who certaintly didn't need any more stress, are abubsive and even go the point of telling my relatives I gave Greentree their number to reach me. They continue calling even after repeatedly being told not to call again as I don't live at that location.

These are just a few examples of what has happened to me. I could probably write a book listing my bad experiences with Greentree.

To everyone out there, Do Not Ever Use Greentree.
