Ripoff very convincing fraudulant credit card

Business & Finance

I received a phone call stating that I had qualified for a $2,500 Mastercard. All I had to do was have $296 available in my checking account within a week. I just had a baby and was on maternity leave so it seemed like a good way to have some kind of extra income before returning back to work.

It sounded too good to be true, but I trusted these people and went for it anyway. They told me that it would take 15-20 days before I received the card, so patiently I waited. On about the 13th day, I called the company to check on the status of the card that was promised to me, and they told me that it was in the mail and on its way. After waiting a couple more days, it still hasn't arrived, so I called again.

They then told me that it had just been mailed out that same day and that I should receive it very soon within a couple days of that day. I then became a little suspicious because I was already told that it had been sent out the week prior to that. I then gave it the benefit of the doubt and waited again. Still no mastercard. I called on on the 17th day and told them that I still haven't received a card. A man by the name of Jeff Haynes Told me not to get worried until the 21st day, and if I haven't received it yet, please call back. The 21st day came, and I was fed up.

I called the company back and once again, told them that I still did not receive a card. Here is where I knew that I had been scammed. I spoke to Jeff Haynes again and he told me that I should be receiving it. I then got really irritaed and told him that I wanted a refund. He told me that there was not a refund. He then asked me where I was from and when I told him Michigan, he said, " Oh, Detroit huh? I'll never go there again. That's where all the shoot people on New Year's Eve." I was so angry when he said that and proceeded to demand my money back before I got the law involved. He kept screaming racial comments towards me, so I hung the phone up and called my husband at work.

When my husband returned home from work he, he called the company, and questioned them about our money then about the racial comments spoken to me. Jeff Haynes tried to sound professional at first, but after a few minutes of arguing with my husband, he then started the racial comments towards my husband. My huband kept quiet and let the the man yell all of the racial comments just enough to get it all on tape. We filed a report with our local authorities, but nothing has been done about it yet. I received a letter in the mail stating that I had been approved for another card, so I looked it up on the web and of course, it was bogus. I ran into the consumer complaints site, and I can't even begin to explain how helpful all the imformation was. I read up on how to get my money back, and I hope I can because my baby sure can use some diapers.
