They due ILLEGAL collections in VA and everywhere else

They called me on March 28 to say I have a collection with MBNA bank that was charged off in 2001. They said they bought the collection from NCO in 2006 however I got nothing in the mail at all from any collection agencys until now when they called me. They are saying I owe MBNA bank for a credit card account that I faulted on in 1999. I told them to stop calling me and that they are doing Illegal collections in VA and they said oh no this is legal. I said no it is not. I told them I have a lawyer involved and to stop calling me and they said I had to have it in writing to stop calling me I said fine I will and hung up on them.
