Ripoff took money to pay off debt and never paid any creditors

Back in March I contacted several consolidation groups.
My husband and I decided on using Center for Credit Counseling Services Inc

They repeatedly did not pay the money to the creditors owed, which caused us to not only have to pay the agency, but to try and maintain the payments on the bills as well.

Each time was a new excuse, several of them including the fact our case manager left and someone new had taken their place. Even if this were the case, that would be no excuse to cause our account to lapse and incur more charges and late fee's from our creditors.

More excuses of that it takes 21 days after each time we make a payment to process it then more time to send it through. If this was also the case, how can they help people clear up their credit if they can't make payments themselves monthly and on time?

Another recent lie was that they told us that we could not add one particular card to the service because they would won't us to add all cards and bills, after speaking to this bank, it was not the case, but they would have done it free of charge.

The latest excuse is that they think they made the payments, but they aren't sure where the money went.
I paid, and am paying for a service that I still have not received and if I leave, I will have lost close to a thousand dollars.

I want to inform people before they use this agency, get it in writing that they will provide the service you pay for, that way you should be able to have some sort of legal recourse.
