PNC Bank My company was ripped off by PNC Bank!

My company was ripped off by PNC Bank! PNC Bank took over National City Bank and transferred my Merchant Account to a Business Basic Account. I called several times and asked if I was placed in the right account. I was told yes this is the best account for my business. I was concerned because this account cost a service charge of $20.00 per month. Twenty four months passed before my new office manager decided to visit the branch and discuss bank business.

The assistant manager found the mistake informed him and put me in a free Business Checking Account. She credited me $20.00 and charge me $ 10.00 service fee to make the switch. I was told I was set up with the Business Basic Account because it allowed you to do more than 200 transactions per month, I never acceded more than 200 transactions per month. He informed them of this and was told to go to a manager and ask for a retroactive refund.

He refused and stated it was my responsibility to change my account. He then called corporate and was told that no refund will be credited. He tried to get the Regional Mangers address to write a certified letter to her. They said to bring the letter into the local branch and they would forward it to her. We are now in the process of consulting an attorney about this matter. Its sad to think you cant trust your own bank these days when they all seem to be the real crooks.
