Read the contract carefully, you will pay to leave them!

Sterling will charge you $395 if you ever leave them. No exceptions! The contract reads that you have a 3 year contract and must give them written notice at the end of the 3 years or it will automatically renew for another year. So if you are with the for 10 years and don't cancel on the exact month, $395.00. If you go out of business and bankrupt, tough, $395.00.

I was a rep for them for a long time (10 years) and they used to never do this. I used them for processing for a business venture that failed. They charged me $395.00.

Sad part is that they are a good processor and have good customer service. They just don't seem to understand that there are hundreds of other good processors out there that offer just as good a service without the crazy contract terms. I could no longer sell for them because I would not use them for my own business ventures.
