Corp, business Card ripoff raised interest and lied

My husband and I had lost our granddaughter to a tragic housefire, and we fell behind on a few bills... It seemed everyone understood but Advanta. I paid half the payment one month and instantly they raised the interest and the payments on us so high we couldnt reach them.

We called to explain what happened and it didnt seem to matter... As someone else stated they started calling late at night after 9 and early in the morning before 8 and even called my husbands place of employment constantly...

He tried to arrange something with them so we could get the interest down and the payments but they wouldnt help us. Finally he talked to this one lady and she told him, if he would pay $300 for three months so they could lower the interst some (which he did) and they did lowered the interest for a short time, the would put him on what they called a fresh start program. So he said ok lets do that. So he sent the payments to them as promised and the second month this guy called wanting another payment... And my husband stated he had already made that months payment.

So the gentleman on the phone then stated he had to have more money because my husband was so behind on his payment. So my husband told him he had already talked to this lady and that she told hiim she would put him in this fresh start program, so the gentleman checked on the computer and said there was nothing there stating he was on any fresh start program...

What hurt us was that my husband had to borrow the money from his boss to do what he promised, Advanta took all that money and didnt do what they promised and now we are just as bad if not worse than we was to start with...

Than after taking all that money, they tell him they have this company they are affiliated with that will help him to lower his payments so we can afford to get them paid off... Our concern for everyone else out there with this company is that they let us get so far behind and so far indebted to them before they even told us they had this place they work with to help us...

I urge anyone out there going into business to please listen and NEVER EVER use this card for anything...
