Calvary Portfolio Services called to discuss a debt and without prompting became verbally manipulative and harassing even when I gave a time frame for the company to call me to come to a settlement.
Within the conversation they threatened my husbands job (this is not his debt), and working future and began asking pressing irrelevant personal questions.
When I refused to pass along my email to them the "supervisor" I was speaking with raised his voice and started spouting off my personal info loudly including my full Social Security Number in a way to let me know he "could get whatever info he wanted to about me".
I communicated my desire to keep my good credit and proactively work towards resolving any debt by asking they call me in a week and a half after I had met with my husband to discuss quick payment solutions. Because I was not willing to pay during the phone call the "supervisor" said he would document and report that I was being "uncooperative" and that this would negatively effect my credit future.
Really?! I just agreed to formulate a payment plan or settlement?
When I absorbed the extent to which Calvary Portfolio Services was willing to harass me in spite of my willingness to resolve the debt I let them know I was recording the harassing phone call. The line went silent... Completely silent.
