Paytrust Fraudulent billing accumulates charges against you Internet

Business & Finance

This used to be an excellent company. I have been their customer for over a decade. No longer. Here is what they did.

First, I had a "funding account" go into overdraft. Since I was temporarily unable to pay the overdraft, I established a new account. That was over a month ago. I then tried to transfer my Paytrust account to the new account. That should have been simple. However, my monthly bill went through the old account.instead of letting me shift to the new account, Paytrust kept doing automatic billing of my old account. Every time they did (and they have done it at this point five times), they charged me $20 for a non-sufficient funds charge.

Of course, I called them up and said, look, I'll pay this right now using my new account. Nope. They wouldn't allow it. They kept telling me that their use of the old account was "automatic" and that they couldn't do anything about it, as if this routine was somehow carved into the structure of the universe. And they kept doing it, and doing it, and doing it.

I have talked to them three times about this and sent them three emails. Nothing happens. Their goal is to cause as many overdraft charges as they can, because that, apparently, is how they make their money.

I'd have to say that this is actually the worst single experience I have ever had with any firm, anywhere. And I've bought used cars! Also, I've never even heard of a firm that refuses to take your money. This is the only one.

I would strongly suggest that you steer away from this company. Everything sounds good until you run into a problem. At that point, you are customer disservice hell and there is no escaping it. This company is basically a criminal operation that is just waiting for you to slip up so that they can impose as many fees on you as is humanly possible and not allow you any escape.
