Matrix Direct - Craig Van Tichelt
Spammers and Ripoff

Business & Finance

Matrix Direct is a life insurance company that spams constantly. But even worse, they are liars and ripoff artists.

I applied for life insurance and my rate was jacked up because Matrix direct claimed that I stated that my father had heart disease before the age of 55.in my original app on the phone with rep Craig Van Tichelt I plainly told him that my father had heart problems AFTER age 55. Tichelt acknowledged that that is what I told him. Matrix Direct claims that I told the person who drew my blood that my father experienced heart problems before age 55. Why would I tell my agent one thing and the nurse something else? That's absurd.

Well, Matrix tried to charge me more and I told them that they were crazy. Here's what Tichelt wrote:

Craig Van Tichelt

I have news for Craig Van Tichelt. I held a life insurance license for 10 years. I know a RIPOFF when I see one. Matrix Direct is a spamming ripoff.

On the bright side, I was approved by a much better life insurance company, Prudential, and given their "preferred plus" rate (the cheapest rate possible). Prudential is the life insurance that insured my father and thus they knew his medical history. Prudential gave me the cheapest rate because I qualified for it. Their guidelines are the same as Matrix Direct. Matrix Direct looks for any way to charge more for life insurance. They are liars. Avoid them.
