Refund Of Duplicate Payment - A1 National Van Hire

On 27th June I hired a van from yourselves to be delivered on 29th June. On 28th June I received a phone call whilst out informing me my payment card had been declined. I supplied another card from whichpayment was taken. When I arrived home I phoned my card company to ask why payment had been declined to be informed that it had not been declined. I immediately phoned your company and notified you of this and was assured that only one payment had been taken by yourselves and that I would not be charged twice.

Three days later my debit card is being declined and confused as to why I phone up my bank to find that despite your reassurances to the contrary you had charged my debit card.

I have made numerous phone calls and emails to yourselves and have been reassured by email and phone that I was refunded last week however I have still not received any refund. Why?

I am now at the end of my tether and have been charged by my bank for refused payments that were made due to you charging me for the van.

I would like to know when I'm going to get my refund AND my deposit back on both cards.
