Extortion attempt

My Mother and Father have been targeted by CAMCO (Capitol Acquisition and management Company) in Schaumburg, ILL in an attempt to extort money from them.

They start by calling potential victims and telling them they owe an uncollected past debt, usually from several years ago.in my parents case it was something from 17 years ago.

Of course my parents have no records from 17 years ago and are upset by the threats by CAMCO employees of reporting my parents to credit bureaus and seisure of their real and personal property.

Because of this site "usacomplaints. Coms.com" we were able to identify this scam and my parents have contacted authorities in Michigan where they live and in Illonois where CAMCO is located.

The local sheriff dept, a prosecuting attorney and the FBI have gone so far as to wire-tap my parent's phone in order to record the abusive language and threats against my parents.

CAMCO, the parent company FM Financial and 4 individuals have been fined $300,000 by the FTC and the case has been sent to Washignton D.C. For review by the FTC and justice dept for possible criminal suits.

My hope is that they'll be successful in stopping these criminals and help elderly parents like mine rest, knowing they have done nothing wrong except answer their phone.

I look forward to any other inocent people who have been targeted to let us know how they're handling the situation.
