LLC ripoff rip-off collection agency

I had some bad checks that went to this lawfirm back in 2001 and they went to this law firm for collection, they sent me a letter telling me I owed this money. I paid them right away the amount of the check and the 20.00 service fee.

They sent me my money back in an envolope with no explanation. I sent it again, and they sent it back to me again.

They refuse to let me pay this debt stating I owe a 100.00 civil penalty fee for each check. This civil penalty fee is a court awared fine.

We have not been to court and when I talked to this law firm, they even stated they would have to take me to court to get it.

They still as of now refuse to let me pay this debt off, and in the meantime are reporting it on my credit report stating, seriously overdue, never paid etc.

They are out to get money that is not theirs legally and in the meantime they think they can ruin my credit. This company is a rip off!!! Checkrite is the company that hired them to get these checks paid.
