Charged off on my credit report for a Credit Card I never recieved

I was offered a Secured Credit card that required a $200.00 deposit. The company that tried to take money from my checking account was not the same name that the sales rep gave. I then stoped payment and changed checking accounts. I received a theatening phone call a week later.

4 years later they now have me as a charge off for $525.00. They claim that I owe them $1,400.00 so I should be grateful they only want the $500. Their records show that they only tried contacting me 3 times and never sent a card. They claim I owe them 48 months worth of late payments.

Payments on what?! I never received anything! They also said that by law they do not have to have any communication with consumers regarding the status of their accounts.
