Fingerhut - Axsys National Bank ripoff 911 Mail causes Account fees to Expand out of control Fingerhut offers No Reasonable Solutions Just badgering and Plenty more Fees

Until 911 my credit was in good standing with Fingerhut, however when the mail arrived to them late they proceeded to add fees. Soon my fees ate up any remaining credit and fees worsened quickly. When I attempted to work out an arrangement with them they refused to offer more than taking payments out of my bank account to prevent late payments. When I attempted to further explain my situation they were cold as ice and told me I should be prompt in paying my debts and they again became adament about my signing up for direct bank acct. Payment. We didn't reach any solution when I refused their offer.

I refused the offer because I, in looking into my account had discovered that I hadn't received any history of what had been paid off with my account I had only billing statements, fees, and increases which seemed to hide any progress I had ever made. Later, they began to badger me to pay my debt as I finally gave up catching up ever. I asked for proof of my payment history and debts with proof of what I had paid for the whole time I'd had credit with them. They sent me copies of bills, but no proof of payments made and never gave me any solution to resolve the issues.

Further, shortly after purchasing products and their extended warranties... The products quit working. When I attempted to have them repaired I was told that they were out of business and their warranties could not be honored. I quickly discovered that I could not find them to at least remove the charges pertaining to the extended warranties from my bill since I would get no benefit from them. I finally gave up.

They are a negative on my credit history and I fear they will be there forever, as I had a bankrupcy in the past and they were my avenue to establish good credit again, so I thought. I was totally wrong. They were the beginning of the death nell for me and credit. I don't desire another bankruptcy and any credit builds I acheived was quickly destroyed by the combination of financial means change, 911 and Fingerhut's refusal to reasonably assist at a critical point in my life.

And worse yet, I've discovered that though my credit is dead for a long time they are not. They are now on the Web. I fear what they can do now to to the new unsuspecting others.
