Business & Finance

Shortly after leaving the U.S. Army, I was faced with a plethora of problems. One of them being "what will I do next?". I posted my resume on Monster.com, and soon after, I received an E-mail from a gentleman we will call "John".

A few weeks after, he had his secretary give me a call about management oppurtunities available in my area. I immediately got suspicious becuase I thought I was way underqualified for that with my limited experience in a buisness setting. Though my instincts whispered echoes of Primerica, (a company that screwed a friend of mine), I decided to check it out. To make a long story short, I got as far as the third interview, (of course!) and was congratulated for making the grade.

A few minutes ago, I checked out the legitimacy of the company and was led here. I feel so stupid! I should have known better. There is no such thing as easy money! To make matters worse, I almost quit my job, (one that pays well) to venture into this world of lies. I am worried though. They gave me a book and said I owe 75 dollars for it. I received no invoice for it and I hope i can lie to them and say that I have to move out of the state to take care of my "sick" grandmother, and just give it back without them claiming that I owe them.

If there is anyone who has had experience with this particular group, please Email me with some ways I can get them out of my life. Oh yeah, and they got a copy of my Social Security card, and Id card as well. What do I do? How can companies like this stay in buisness?
