Affiliated With Adservia — A Credit Counseling Agency ripoff credit card scam

On March 30th i recieved a phone cal from a foreign sounding company offering me a credit card with a 5000.00 limit. This seemed odd considering i had just folded a 250,000.00 company and was left with all of the bad debts.

I listened to the sales pitch and agreed with everything they had to say, answered all of thier questions and was told i was guaranteed a credit card in the mail within 2 weeks with up to a 5,000.00 limit. I said ok what do i need to pay to get the card. The man identifying himself as Emanuel Walters, or operator #1260 said there was no up front fee but that i would need to pay a one time cahrge within 2 weeks of 219.00.

I said ok for a five thousand dollar credt card i would be willing to pay that. Ok he said, all i need now is your bank account number so we can verify your account and make a one time electric transfer from your bank to ours. I said i didnt have my check book with me that my wife had taken it to work with her. He immedidtely began to pressure me for other ways to find him my account number. Red flags began to go up and i made an excuse to get off the phone and do some online research. I found multiple other fraud reports about Gotec Financial naming them as a credit card scam company. They are also associated with Adservio, a credit counseling agency. Beware
