Attention old nextcard holders. Check those old accounts. You may have been transfered to the ripoff artist known as Merrick bank.

I have had a closed account for almost two years and low and behold not from Merrick bank but from Privacy Guard I get a notice saying I owed. I called to clarify this situation and the person that I was speaking to would not give his name and was very rude.

Finally after applying for a loan and being dissapproved I checked my credit again. Who was the reason? Yep, Merrick Bank.
I called again and spoke to Larry who put me on hold for 5 minutes to get someone in the department best suited to handle this.

Finally, Marty Shields comes on line and immediately puts me on hold for about 2 minutes. After explaining the situation to him he asked if I could be put on hold.
5 minutes later Shaun Schemel comes on and explain that the account was activated through my home phone number in 2001. I'm in the Navy and was in Japan on a ship. Home phone number? Finally after ten minutes of trying to explain this to him his attitude changed over the phone and that I aready sent a complaint to the federal reserve board his tone changed and he got very rude in his tone towards me.

No, this matter is still not settled and I have a black mark on my credit report until I hear from the reserve board. I'm still trying to figure out this home phone activation thing. That's what happens when you company has no customer satisfation skills.in one ear and out the other. Don't worry Shaun Schemel I am sure Mc donald's needs some store managers.
