David Elgante Dropped by Scotsmans Guide for scamming and ripping off clients

We were dupped! My partner and I sent several loans to this company and its the same story... Fees, which I understand in this environment and the nature of the type of loans being sought. One of our clients even paid the $900 rush fee.

You guessed it, they disappeared. No return calls or emails. We called Scotsmans guide which referred us to them and they have since been dropped Hard Equity Financing due to the volumn of similar complaints.

When we first contacted HEF, we asked for something telling us of their integrity and reputation. They sent us something from the better business bureau giving the a B rating. They also sent us a video from a news program that did a feature on them. (We are contacting them... I think its time for a follow up report.)

We then sent someone to their office. Its a mail drop! It doesn't exist!

We are in the process of filing criminal complaints with the Florida State Attorney General's office and Department of the Treasury, Financial Fraud Unit. According to our attorney's, they are commiting mail fraud, wire fraud and internet fraud and that is just a start.

They have been told this was going to be what we would do and that they could avoid it all if they just returned the money to our clients. No response.

We will keep this blog informed on the progress with this action. But in the mean time, stay as far away from these people as possible. All they do is collect fees

And if you have fallen victim to these scammers, file your complaints too. The louder we scream, the more action we will get
