Ripoff Don't be fooled, Out $98. Expensive Lesson Learned

Same story as everyone else. Ad in small local newspaper, Glenville Weekly. Sounded real because it had to do with HUD, said I would be paid by HUD. I should have caught on when "Pita" (she didn't need to give me her last name, she's the only one there with that name) said I had to pay by check by phone. "You have nothing to lose", she said, "90 days to get a refund". It's funny that she didn't mention the cost of stationary, envelopes or postage that was also needed.

Don't be fooled like I was. If anyone finds a way to get the money back, please let me know, you would think that there would be an agency to help people that get scammed & to stop it from happening to other innocent people who are just trying to make some extra money.
