Fairbanks Capital Corp
Late charges led to Chapter 13 and foreclosure sale to a trust company

Business & Finance

Fairbanks Capital got our loan from Conti Mortgage in 1996 and caused us to fall behind on payments by adding on late charges. This caused us to file Chapter 13 bankruptcy. Then we fell out of Chapter 13 in August and they had their lawyers in our town, Tacoma, Washington State, file foreclosure on our property. We are still fighting them, but they sold our house to Manufacturers & Traders Trust Company, One M&T Plaza, Buffalo, NY 14203-2399. Washington State laws suck. Can I still fight them or not? For some reason I think they just sold my house to one of their own companies. Is that legal? Help please.
