Business & Finance

Back in December I received a phonecall from this company enet action card. He claimed I was approved for a credit card second chance program. He also claimed it was a 5000 limit. He told me it was gonna cost me 149 dollars for a security deposit. He told me they could take 4 payments of 39.75. He told me that he needed my checking account #. I figured that if they could take it out of my checking account that it had to be legit. I figured there was a paper trail that way. So I gave him my #. He also gave me a phone # and verification #. He told me about three companies that are affiliated with them. He told me they would also take money out of my account if I didn't call them within ten days of receiving their information. That was pretty much it for the phone call. He did not ask for my social security # so I wasn't real worried about it.

I received the information from the other 3 companies on the 15th. I called and cancelled all 3 of them. I called the # the man I talked to gave me on January 2nd. I talked to a woman and gave her my verification #. She claimed that the 4 payments of 39.75 had been taken out and my card should be here within 14 to 21 days.

When February got here I called the phone # and it was disconnected. To top it all off 1 of the affiliate companies took money out of my account. Even after I called them and told them I didn't want their service. So that threw my checkbook all off. I ended up bouncing checks that should not have bounced. They way I balance my checkbook I make it so I have extra money in there as a cushion. So I didn't start finding out until about a month later.

When my checks started bouncing I looked at my account statement. I found out Sentry home protection had charged my account $99.00.

So I called my credit union and got the telephone # of the company that took the money out. I called that company and cussed them out. They stated that they would issue me a refund. I asked them what about the bounced check fees I had accumulated because of this. They told me that the check would say refund and that would reverse the fees I had acquired. They waited another week and a half before sending the check. I went to cash the check and get the fees reversed. They told me that they wouldn't refund all of it because it wasn't their fault. They refunded half of my fees for good measures.

I immediately came home and called sentry home protection. I cussed the receptionist out and got tranfered to the manager named Mycnel. I talked to him about the situation and he told me that my credit union had to refund them fees by law. So I called my credit union director and asked him to call this guy and see what they could work out cause I wanted my money back it wasn't my fault. Anyway he called for me and they admit the money was taken in error but accept no responsibility for fees incurred.

I would like to get my money back from these companies. Maybe a little more for all the bullshit, stress and money problems these companies have caused me. I just got laid off. So I can't really afford all of this right now! Thank you for taking the time to read this.
