Real Time Resolutions
2nd Mortgage Debt Collection on Foreclosure from 3 years ago in Illinois

Business & Finance

Consumers Beware! Real Time Resolutions seems to be a big time scam!

I foreclosed on my primary residence in IL nearly 3 years ago. I have been contacted by Real Time Resolutions who is trying to recoup
the money from the 2nd mortgage which was a purchase mortgage from the bank (80%/20%) split mortgage. I originally owed $242k on the property when it foreclosed and the property sold for $108k. They are threatening a judgment against me and/or are talking about a settlement or modification. The entire thing seems extremely shady and even though they are offering a settlement they are not willing to budge.
It seems that this company goes out and buys bad debt from the banks and then tries to collect on it from innocent people that got shafted in the banks mortgage boom. Banks got bailouts so where are the consumer bailouts? The government needs to put a stop to this type of harassment. We couldn't afford the mortgage in the first place and had to give up our home. Leave us alone already.
