ACI Concerns I have regarding payments we have made to this company

We have been making payments to this company for our mortgage that was "charged off".

Should we have done this? They have used many scare tactics with us and have taken A LOT of money from us.

I pulled my credit report up and it shows no payments made to the account for the past three years! We have been paying ACI for three years!

They told me they don't report to the credit agency. How am I supposed to improve my credit if it doesn't reflect my payments? They did tell me what my balance is as of now and what my balance started out at. The credit report balance is close to theirs, only off by a few hundred dollars. But as I was looking at my report again this morning, I noticed that the beginning balance on the report is almost $20,000 less than what ACI said my beginning balance was! So, according to my report it only looks like I've paid $3000.00 when I have actually given ACI $21,300.00!!!

Also, the amount we were scheduled to pay has just been too much. I called them last Thursday and spoke to a guy (SS) and he was willing to let me decrease my payment and begin the new payment arrangement on the 15th of July. I had a payment due June 30 and told him I could not make that large payment. He said he would accept the new arrangement to begin on July 15.

Then yesterday, they call my husband and when I call them back and ask for SS, the guy I spoke to Thursday, they transfer me to SO. SO says he knows nothing of my conversation with SS, and I am in default of my arrangement (the last time I was one day late, they made me pay $3500 up front to make my payment $1400/month, when we were paying $500). SO is on the phone with me and being downright mean.

I asked him if he spoke to SS and knows of my new arrangement. He just keeps telling me I renigged on our previous arrangements. I told him I spoke to SS on Thursday for a very long time and why doesn't he know about this conversation. He tried pretending like he didn't know a SS. SO says he will only speak to my husband because I kept cutting him off and talking over him. I WASN'T! I asked him why SS could approve a new arrangement and now SO is calling me and telling me I can't have that arrangement.

We are very scared and concerned.

Can they take our house if we don't keep paying these people???
We CANNOT lose our home...

The main reason I called them Thursday was to find out why my payments were not reflecting on my credit bureau statement. They didn't seem to like the fact that I was asking these questions. I actually started first by contacting the original mortgage holder (HSBC) and they didn't have my account. They eventually transferred me to ACI and I didn't even know I was on the phone with ACI at first.

I also asked ACI why they constantly refer to the "client" as wanting these arrangements when HSBC doesn't even have the loan anymore. They gave me some line about client guidelines they use to make arrangements. They always make it sound like HSBC has to approve everything. I asked the guy (SS) if them referring the "client" is false representation, he stumbled over his answer to that question...

We need help! What do we do? Can you answer my questions or forward this to someone who can? Quickly???
