Car release refused after back payments were made

On January 6th my car was picked up by Westlake. The account rep told me that if I paid all the back payments I could pick up the car.

As a matter of fact, I had sent in a payment by MoneyGram a couple of hours before they picked it up. As of the 23rd the car was current and I was told that I could go get the car. I had to wait a couple of days to pick it up due to my work schedule.

When I called to make sure it was released and ready to pick up, they told me that I could not get the car back until I paid the account in full. What a change in seven days. I complained to upper management, and in their "investigation" of my complaints about being misled, they concluded that I was not telling the truth about what the account rep said and that I had on occasion threatened to conceal the car. That is an outright lie. I have lost over a thousand dollars and have no chance of getting financing somewhere else without any money. My next message will be to the Attorney General's office.
