L. Ryan Copeland Law Lying Collection Agency. Not Sure they are legit

I just got a call from a company calling themselves Copeland Law. I let it go to voicemail because they caller ID said "800 Service." The voicemail that was left for me (used my name) was from a woman named Debbie Foster. She said she had a "bad check" that I wrote drawn off my bank. She then left a "docket number". Since I write no checks (I use electronic payment methods exclusively), I was confused so I called her back.

The woman who answered the phone was rude. I told her what I needed and she put me on hold. She answered the phone as Copeland Law. When she came back on the phone, she said she couldn't find my information. I asked her who they represent, she told me she needed to find my information before she could answer my questions. I asked her if Ryan Copeland was an attorney here in Florida, she said no. I asked if they were a collection agency, she did not answer me directly but while I was talking to her, I googled Copeland Law and found the previous consumer complaints.

When I confronted her about it, she got angry at me. I then asked her for their address so I could send a registered letter to make them stop calling (I still don't know who they work for). She hung up on me.

I did some research online and could not find ANY L. Ryan Copeland in any bar association in New York or Florida. I am filing a complaint with the state of Florida. Florida requires that any collection agency, in or out of state, have a license to collect here in Florida. They do not have such a license. They are liars and do not adhere to the rules of collection.
