Almost fell for it

I was contacted by this company this morning that I was approved for my $1000 credit card and "package". I very hesitantly gave them my checking account number and was told I would receive another call within a half hour to verify.

While waiting, I conducted a Yahoo telephone number search and found all the derogatory remarks concerning this company. When the call was returned, I told them that I was not interested and that my account would be cancelled.

I still fear that they will take the $187.00 from my account, but I will contact the back tomorrow morning (today is a holiday) to stop payment on any thing that comes through from this company. Thank you to all who have posted to this site and good luck in retreiving what is owed to you.
