Payday Loan Protection
Made up check address, check number and withdrew $30 from my account

On January 12, I saw on my bank statement online that check number 26654 was cashed in the amount of $30.00. First of all, I haven't reached the 10,000 number on my account, let alone the 26 thousands. Second, the address on the check was not only never my address, but when I looked it up, the address does not even exist.

On the same date, January 12, I called the number on the check and advised that I had not authorized this check, had no idea what service they were offering and that I was not at all interested in any type of payday loan or payday loan protection.

The person on the phone was very nice and 'cancelled' my subscription and advised that I would have my refund by the 26th of January.

January 26 rolls around - no refund. I called and was advised that it would actually be there by February 4. Surprise, surprise, February 4 - no refund. I called and was advised that they were having difficulty and that my refund would be back in my account on February 17 (AT THE VERY LATEST!)

So, today is February 17. I called from my work number - not the number they have on file - and the person immediately responded that he would have to transfer my call to someone who could help me.

"Marcia" answered, asked if I'd been transferred to her, to which I replied, 'Yes', and she explained to me that the bank that issues the refund had had their assets frozen and that if I wanted my money back I would have to dispute the charge with my bank. Of course, I asked if the banks assets were frozen, how was my bank getting the money back, to which Marcia replied 'by filling out an R-10 form'.

She told me, and I'm quoting, "You can even look on the internet and look up the bank". As if that will make it any different.

BTW - the name of the bank is Metro Phoenix.

I never authorized this company to take any money out of my checking account, don't know how they got my account number. They are a scam and a rip-off.
