Big scam

They are only available by a toll free number but they are all American, use a CEO name on their company that is actually a financial person with a lot of financial background. I checked with FBI, Trade Commission, local police, and even called the victims advocate. There were no reports on these guys. I even called the realtor that leases out the building on the fax cover sheet they sent me. She said it was not actually called Hemmingway, but would not answer if it was a financial business. They are brokers with over 300 lenders, so I let that one get by me. It she said it was a hair cutting place or something, I would have saw the flag. Then they did say I have to give 3 months up front but that would buy loan insurance (which I investigated & has been going on since the 50s – so no flag, thought it was a smart investor). Then they convinced me it was 2 lenders instead of one for the whole loan, and had me wire the money western union to Canada. That made me nervous, but I was so desperate. I asked a bunch of questions about the company and he mentioned they used to be in Florida & then moved to Providence Rhode Island – and the CEO I looked up has background in Florida – that sealed the deal. Then 5 days after I did not receive the money they tried to say they messed up the numbers & needed more money. That was it - a BIG SCAM. Luckily I did not send the other money, just lost the $2000 – but I could have paid the lights that are being disconnected with that $2000 instead of buying a tear jerking story. When nobody had heard anything throughout my 3 days of internet & agency searching, I thought it was ok…but I should have clued in…Nobody had HEARD ANYTHING about them…not possible for a company that has been around for 4 years.
