Collection Agency Fraud-Don't get scammed

In early September I was contacted by this company asking about any outstanding judgements I was owed. They described some normal terms of service so I agreed to send them one old file as a trial. Two days later they contacted me and said they had located the debtor and a bank account to collect on. I asked where the bank was located and the name and they provided the information I asked for. They wanted $900 for their attorney to prepare documents and pursue collections. On inititial contact they were prompt, polite, professional and checked out with the BBB who verified they had been in business ten years and had no unresolved complaints. They called back with updates for two weeks and I decided to send them two more files, more litigation fees, with another scheduled contact for the first file in one week. We spoke a couple more times then I began getting their recording. They stopped returning my calls. The updates stopped coming and I began to find scam reports on this site and negative reports by other BBB customers. Don"tbe scammed by this company. They are not legit.
