Hi All,

I own a small property that I let out. The tenants did a bunk and me and refused to pay. I recieved a fax from Clear Debt Solutions (which is illegal by the way as I have signed up to the Fax Preference Service).

A very friendly gentlemen called Dominic Leatherbarrow turned up from the company and basically told me that for the set sum of 400 they will chase the debtor recover my debt and add their charge onto the debt that was my total outlay... NOT TRUE

I foolishly signed up to them without reading the huge long list of terms and conditions which unless you have really good eyesight you couldnt read anyway as they use very little spacing, no underlining and no setting out in bold important terms so unless you have a very long time to study it you would find it almost impossible to read.

To cut a long story short, they eventually managed to collect my debt. They still havent told me that they have collected it but I found out by accident from the former tennant.

Delighted I phoned them up and asked them when I would received my desperatly needed money... Their reply?"Check your terms and conditions"... They didn't have the guts to tell me that in actual fact they keep my money for upto 120 days and then deduct another 23.5% as a further commision despite me already having paid 470 up front.

Some of you may think that I deserve it because I didnt read the Terms and conditions and you may be right. I just want this to warn other to be careful.
