Denied Short Term Disability through 3rd Party Insurance Agency

My MRI shows that my condition will not get better and I've never had this problem with my back before. I can no longer perform my duties as a CNAI. I've had Therapy from 6/7/10-8/4/10; attending therapy twice a week (except the week of the 4th of July which I attended once that week; with numbness in my Right Leg and Right Foot the entire time; Also severe pain and burning in back and my Right Leg. I have obeyed all the orders through my Doctor and Orthepedic Specialist (Comp Rehab) by attempting to try 4hrs a day at work for seven days (Aug. 19- Aug. 27). Which I expressed the fact that I felt I could not do it without causing elevating pain and misery to my back, by standing and walking back and forth talking vitals, and bending to take blood pressures. If there is a paitent in a wheel chair I cannot push them, If I see an senior patient about to trip and fall I can't even attemt to help (I expressed these concerns to my immediate supervisor S. Stevens Doctor Copper, PA and Dr. R. Jones. I've even applied for 4 other positions that I have expereince as a Clerical worker; these jobs will allow me to sit more and stand less. The Insurance firm denied my claim and I wrote an Appeal and reported back to Ms. Tanya Caine of the Denial (she stated the Liberty Mutual is a Third Party Affiliate and she doesn't work for them). On Tuesday 9/7/10. I received a letter from Human Resources (T. Caine) telling me to file with The Standard Insurance Company. My corncern is what about the first Insurance company where I wrote for an appeal? I have been out on FMLA for three months now and my WFUBMC have not assisted me with getting the benefits that I've been paying for for over three years (60% of my Salary after 60 days they said. It's been 91 days today. I have documents and my medical records. I seriously need help. Thanking you for your assistance with this matter. Vickie B. Halls
