Ripoff! I paid more than the item cost

I have done business with Fingerhut for over 10 years and never noticed a problem until a three years ago. I purchased a christmas present for my kids that was a total of $400.00 including shipping and handling.

About 1 year ago I still had money to spend on the account. The very next bill I received stated that I was over my limit. I did not make any more purchases!

Lately the company call all the time, even if the bill is one day late getting in their computer. I went on-line to try and set up on-line payment.in trying to find the right web site I found consumer complaints. As I read what a few people had said I sat down with my paper work.

According to my new bill I owe $564.85. I have paid a total amount so far of $942.48! How is that possible? I am not going to pay the new bill and when they call, and they will, I am going to inform them of this and ask for a payment history. If they will not give me one, I will not give them anymore hard earned money that could be used to feed and clothe my kids!
