PREVENT the corporation for IRAs. They will cost an annual maintenance charge — for doing PRACTICALLY NOTHING.

They bought my previous broker that kept an inherited IRA account. The consideration have been charge-free for a long time. Stifel informed me of the charge and so I chose to transfer the IRA. Before I really could obtain the consideration shifted, the charge was billed. The consultant designated to my consideration did not contact me back - stated because the consideration was shut, he could not access my contact info. Customer support in St. Louis claims "we cost a $40 maint. Charge on ALL IRA accounts."

The charge in 2010 was billed on May 28 and also the consideration shut significantly less than 14 days later. They WOn't return any part of the charge. The one thing they will have completed to "generate" this charge was let me shop my $ there. Effort, eh?
