I made a mistake on who used my debt card

I contacted the bank and told them there was a charge on my acct that i did not authorize, when they told me where the charge occured i thought of my ex-boyfriend, so i told them i thought he must of did it, however i talked to him and he said his brother did it. I was told because i let my boyfriend use it in the past he had all rights to use it anytime, thats fine but does him whole family have that right they denied me my money back, if this isnt stealing i dont know what is, i never allowed his brother to use my numbers on my acct, yet they choose to let him take my money. He didnt even have my card he used my number and the stupid store put it in manually, thats wrong
