Charging $79.95 after advertising "FREE" credit report. Ripoff!

I noticed the $79.95 charge on my card and immediately said, "What the *$#@ is that?" Came across this site and a number of other similar complaints and realized that it was linked to the "free" credit report I got a while back. Found the number here and called and spoke with a nice woman who (hopefully) cancelled my subscription right away. I did have to verify my SSN, address, DOB and mother's maiden name, but I figure that these are all pretty standard, and they definitely had access to them anyway. She said I should get an email confirmation of the cancellation and a full refund within 7-10 days.

Also, on their site I noticed that they are associated with Experian, which I believe is a somewhat established company, just so you know. I have read a couple other people here who had hassles getting a refund (people insisting that they stick with the program) and thought I'd mention this to let you all know that it was no problem at all for me to cancel. Also, for those interested, the $79.95 charge is a yearly fee, not monthly like I originally feared.
